  • Extremely lightweight, which may be a good thing, but because of the lightweight craftsmanship durability may be a concern

The Palen Gadon is a men's athletic shoe that is nicely tailored to any casual wardrobe. It has a fabric and synthetic sole with a memory foam bottom that provides the wearer with all day cushioned comfort. The gel infused memory foam in the outsole is designed to move with each step to ensure that the foot and ankle does not move away or get overly worked.

The men's Palen Gadon, which means "pioneer" in the Pushto language of Pakistan, pays homage to the man who invented it. But even more than the historical significance, the Palen Gadon is also a great looking shoe. The shape is reminiscent of a wingtip oxford, but with more traditional lacing and a nubuck palm patch on the outsole. Reminiscent of some of the cool sneakers that have come out recently, this shoe has the vintage look of high school days without the branding.

The overall design of the shoe is very pleasing to the eye and the quality is excellent. The men's Palen Gadon by Skechers is the kind of classic looking shoe that is built quality and wearing well without showing wear or showing dirt. Despite the popularity of the shoe being less than it used to be, because it doesn't show the wear associated with more contemporary shoes and because of its classic styling, you could easily see these shoes still being made today.
